| Cubs Reel-In 5-3 Win Over Yankees | Despite a great performance by New York catcher Andy Seminick, the Seattle Cubs defeated the Yankees by the score of 5-3 at Yankee Stadium I. Seminick was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Cody Allen earned the save, his 3rd, for the Cubs. The win puts Seattle at 7-6.
Seattle used the bat of Podge Weihe to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cubs ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Weihe. "Just do my job."
