Ambassadors Score 7-2 Win Against Seattle | Pittsburgh picked up a win at Allegheny Park, toppling the Seattle Cubs, 7-2. Pitcher Jimmy Dygert was one of the reasons the Ambassadors triumphed. With the win, Pittsburgh goes to 55-63, while the Cubs fall to 46-72.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Ambassadors had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the first, when center fielder Willie Mays hit a 2-run triple. The triple came off Adam Wainwright and made the score 2-0, Ambassadors. Mays went 2 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs.
"Feels good to get the job done," Dygert said after the game. | | | | |
