| Cubs Thrill Fans with 3-2 Win | The Seattle Cubs took New York pitcher Dutch E Leonard's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Wrigley Field. The final score had Seattle getting past the Yankees, 3-2. Leonard went 7 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. Schoolboy Rowe, now 2-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The victory puts Seattle at 47-75.
The Cubs procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Justin Upton. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Glad to see the fans get into it," said Upton.
