| New York Grabs 4-1 Road Win | The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from pitcher Felix Hernandez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York. The Yankees won the game, 4-1. Hernandez threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Yu Darvish. His record is now 7-4. The right-hander went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 8 hits for the Yankees. The win hiked the New York record to 71-63.
Wendell Magee, the 31-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Magee contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put New York up, 1-0.
