| Black Aces Get Close Win Over Yankees, 7-6 | Nellie Fox was a major contributor to the 7-6 Houston win over New York. The Black Aces second baseman went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Houston reliever Chuck Cary picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Bob Locker took the loss. The win for the Black Aces raised their record to 88-57.
