Pilgrims Rock Ambassadors, 14-0 | Spirited fans greeted the Pittsburgh Ambassadors for their clash with the Boston Pilgrims.
The Boston Pilgrims used an offensive barrage to beat the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 14-0, at Allegheny Park. Wes Parker led the way, going 2-for-3 for Boston. Boston pitcher Johnny Cueto got the win. He's now 13-0. Clayton Kershaw was tagged with the loss.
The Pilgrims took a 9-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Facing Pittsburgh hurler Ubaldo Jimenez with two outs, Parker hit a grand slam home run.
"I like our moxie," said Pilgrims manager Mike Wallace.
