Almost There: Boston On Cusp of Challenger Round Triumph After 10-3 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Josh Hamilton, the Boston Pilgrims flattened the Houston Black Aces, 10-3, in Game 4 of the Challenger Round today. Hamilton belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Pilgrims, who now lead 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Billy Werber? The Boston third baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put the Pilgrims on top, 2-1. For the game, Werber had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's on me," said Black Aces manager Jimi Patricola. "The guys I sent out there today were the wrong ones for the situation. I'll be sure to send the right ones out next time."

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Aces Pavillion in Houston. The scheduled starters for the game are Al Mamaux for the Boston Pilgrims and Jack Fisher for the the Houston Black Aces.
