Cleveland Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R4
When the stakes were high, Jose DeLeon raised his game to match.

The right-handed DeLeon turned in a stellar performance in Game 3 of the PBL World Series today, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Cleveland Lake Monsters to victory. He allowed 5 hits and struck out 2. The win gave Cleveland a 2-1 lead over the Houston Black Aces in the best-of-7 series.

Cleveland grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Mark Reynolds delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Lake Monsters.

"We're feeling good about this," said Lake Monsters manager John Byedon. "We have got an advantage now and we just need to keep the pressure on."

Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Cleveland Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Fernando Valenzuela for Houston and Rick Sutcliffe for Cleveland.
