| Ambassadors Double Up Lake Monsters, 4-2 | The Cleveland Lake Monsters got a superb performance from pitcher Brendan McKay, but the Pittsburgh Ambassadors still won the game, 4-2. McKay threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Pittsburgh reliever Adam Cimber picked up the win, raising his record to 1-3. Brendan McKay was tagged with the loss. Pittsburgh has now won 3 straight, while the Lake Monsters have lost 3 in a row.
Willie Mays, who is tied for 2nd in the PBL in runs scored with 42, aided the Pittsburgh cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4 with a home run.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Mays.
