Story went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles for the Pussies. Don Larsen, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Roy Crabb converted his 16th save in 17 tries.
Kenny Lofton contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped Tampon Bay get the win.
