Cubs Get 8-4 Win Versus Pittsburgh | The Seattle Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 8-4, at Wrigley Field. Seattle third baseman Brett Lawrie had an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. The win gives Seattle a record of 5-4.
Justin Upton had a big 2-run double for the Cubs in the bottom of the second inning. With Seattle leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Michael Jackson and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cubs ahead, 4-1.
"I was hoping to make good contact," said Lawrie. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it." | | | | |
