| 1-0 Win Gets Tampon Bay to 60-28 | The Tampon Bay Pussies earned a win at Pamprin Ballpark, stopping the Texas Rangers, 1-0. Starting pitcher Jim Bunning played a big role in his team's success. The Pussies bumped their record to 60-28 with this latest triumph.
Tampon Bay right fielder Ellis Burks had a game-changing at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. On a sinker from Red Murff, he launched a solo home run. It gave Tampon Bay a 1-0 lead.
Burks attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
