| Lock has 3 hit night to Pull Ambassadors to .500 | The Pittsburgh Ambassadors beat the Cleveland Lake Monsters, 11-5, at Cleveland Stadium. Don Lock, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The winner was Larry Cheney, who threw 88 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 9 hits. The save went to Harry McIntire, his 1st this season.
With Pittsburgh leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Lock hit a cutter from Brendan McKay for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Ambassadors ahead, 5-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Lock.
The loss drops the Lake Monsters to 3-7.
