The Tampon Bay Pussies relied on the hitting of center fielder Kenny Lofton to stop the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 13-1. For the game, Lofton was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Hal Newhouser earned the win for Tampon Bay. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 4-0.
