Seattle Gets 10-2 Win Against Lake Monsters | Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Seattle Cubs take on the Cleveland Lake Monsters.
The Seattle Cubs grabbed a win, 10-2, over the Cleveland Lake Monsters at Wrigley Field. Seattle right fielder Josh Naylor was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Lake Monsters fall to 11-16 and continue their uneven start to the 1999 season.
Contributing to the Seattle win was Joe Stripp. In the bottom of the first, the 26-year old first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-2, the Cubs in front.
"I had some good swings out there," said Naylor. | | | | |
