| Stars Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0 | New York right fielder Bryce Harper pounded Philadelphia Stars pitchers at Yankee Stadium I, but it was not enough to keep the Yankees from falling, 6-4 in Game 2 of the Eliminator Round. Harper was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, though he couldn't keep the Yankees from slipping to a 2-0 deficit in the best-of-7 series.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Conor Jackson? The Philadelphia left fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stars on top, 2-1. For the game, Jackson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Jackson.
Game 3 is set to be played Saturday at Connie Mack Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Sean Manaea for the New York Yankees and Pat Combs for the the Philadelphia Stars.
