Houston Advances to Round 3
The Houston Black Aces have advanced to the Round 3, thanks in large part to the pitching performance of left-hander Ed Brandt.

Brandt led the way during the Round 2, as his club eliminated the Cleveland Lake Monsters 4-1.

The final game came tonight at Aces Pavillion with a 1-0 victory for Houston.

"I don't think I did anything special or better than any of my teammates that helped us get here," Brandt said. "It takes everyone to win a series."

En route to the MVP award, he registered a 1.50 ERA over 18 innings pitched, with 13 strikeouts.

The Round 3 matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
