Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman Eddie Yost, the Pittsburgh Allegheneys got a road win against the San Diego Padres, 7-4, in Game 3 of the Round 2 today. Yost was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks for the Allegheneys, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rickey Henderson? The Pittsburgh center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Allegheneys on top, 2-0. For the game, Henderson had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Yost called the triumph "a good team win."
