Houston Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The Houston Black Aces have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Pittsburgh Allegheneys, winning 4-2 at Aces Pavillion today. Black Aces pitcher Johnny Lush threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Black Aces to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Round 3.

Miguel Cabrera dealt the Allegheneys a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 1st and Houston leading 1-0, Cabrera hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring double.

"We'll savor this win," Cabrera told the Houston Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Lefty Grove for Pittsburgh and Eric Show for Houston.
