| Karros Leads Black Aces to Win | The Houston Black Aces trumped the Tampon Bay Pussies, 10-7, at Pamprin Ballpark. Houston first baseman Eric Karros was terrific. He went 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win boosted Houston to 33-24.
Michael Brantley went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Houston. In a tie game with two out in the top of the eighth, Brantley came through with a 2-run single. It put the Black Aces in front, 9-7.
"Enjoyed this one," Karros told the Houston Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
