| Ambassadors Score Late to Upend Lake Monsters, 8-2 | The Pittsburgh Ambassadors grabbed a win, 8-2, over the Cleveland Lake Monsters at Cleveland Stadium. Pittsburgh catcher Ira Thomas went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Pittsburgh occupies 5th place in the PBL at 39-47.
Thomas had a big hit for Pittsburgh with two out in the top of the ninth. With Pittsburgh leading 4-2, Thomas hit a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Ambassadors up, 8-2.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Thomas. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
