| Lake Monsters Sneak By Black Aces, 4-3 | The Cleveland Lake Monsters saddled the Houston Black Aces with a loss at Cleveland Stadium. The final score was 4-3. Steve Wilkerson was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Cleveland left fielder scored 1 run and drove in 1. Scott Williamson, credited with the save, is now 23 for 26 in save opportunities. The win makes Cleveland 43-61.
Eddie Robinson had a big run-scoring double for the Lake Monsters in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cleveland leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Kevin Appier and swatted a double to right. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lake Monsters ahead, 3-1.
