| Cubs Score Late, Stun Stars, 13-8 | The Seattle Cubs weathered a fine game by Philadelphia center fielder Brandon Nimmo to upend the Stars, 13-8, at Connie Mack Stadium. Nimmo went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Seattle is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Charlie Hollocher had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for Seattle. With the bases loaded and the Cubs leading 9-8, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
