Heidemann 5-for-5 for Lake Monsters | There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Jack Heidemann is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Pittsburgh Ambassadors at Allegheny Park today. The monster effort from the 24-year-old shortstop helped the Cleveland Lake Monsters take the win, 8-5.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Ambassadors manager Paul Patricola. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Jack Heidemann hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Heidemann is batting .189 this year with 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 370 at-bats. | | | | |
