| Cubs Take Down Pussies, 5-4 | The Seattle Cubs weathered an outstanding game by Tampon Bay center fielder Jim Wynn to topple the Pussies, 5-4. Wynn went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Seattle, now 65-85, holds down 8th place in the PBL.
Seattle won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Michael Foltynewicz on the mound for Tampon Bay, center fielder Ryan Thompson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Cubs fans to their feet.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Thompson told the Seattle Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
