Rollins Hits Two Dingers, Stars Win, 6-3 | The Philadelphia Stars dealt the Houston Black Aces a 6-3 loss at Connie Mack Stadium. Jimmy Rollins was the star on offense. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The 6th-place Stars lifted their record to 76-84.
With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Rollins hit a grand slam home run off Houston hurler Ray Kremer. It was the 11th home run of the season for Rollins and put his team ahead, 5-0.
