| Wynn Stars in 9-7 Loss to Texas | Tampon Bay got a terrific game from left fielder Jim Wynn. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Texas, 9-7. Wynn went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Charlie Parsons, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The win gives Texas a record of 9-6.
