| Black Aces, Loes Stonewall Philadelphia, 9-0 | The Houston Black Aces rolled to an easy 9-0 win over the Philadelphia Stars at Connie Mack Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Billy Loes, who shackled the Philadelphia Stars and held them scoreless on a 2-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Loes said in his postgame press conference.
