Late Rally by Pussies Locks Up 7-4 Win | Tampon Bay and Pittsburgh duked it out and the Pussies came out victorious.
The Tampon Bay Pussies beat the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 7-4, at Allegheny Park. The win was due in part to first baseman Hal Trosky Sr, who went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Roy Crabb picked up the save for Tampon Bay, his 7th of the year.
Trosky Sr turned the game around in the top of the eighth. That's when the Tampon Bay first baseman dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, Tampon Bay's 4-3 deficit turned into a 6-4 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Trosky Sr told the Tampon Bay Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
The loss has the Ambassadors at 10-14. | | | | |
