Werber, Pilgrims Wallop Pussies in Game 2 of PBL World Series
Boston third baseman Billy Werber produced all the offense the Pilgrims would need today in the club's 10-1 win over the Tampon Bay Pussies.

Werber was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, while Boston moved into a tie in the PBL World Series. The Pilgrims and Pussies are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The Pilgrims took a 7-0 lead in the top of the seventh inning. Facing Tampon Bay hurler Michael Foltynewicz with no outs, Werber hit a 3-run home run.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Pilgrims manager Mike Wallace said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is scheduled for Thursday in Boston. Slated to start are Mike O'Neill for Tampon Bay and Johnny Cueto for Boston.
