Stars Lose to Pussies, 2-1
The Tampon Bay Pussies got a strong performance from pitcher Paul Derringer, who stymied the Philadelphia offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Pamprin Ballpark. Roy Crabb earned the save for Tampon Bay, his 11th. The win boosted Tampon Bay to 25-13.

Jim Wynn brought the hometown crowd to its feet with no one out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when the fan favorite belted a solo home run. With the round-tripper, the Pussies took the lead, 2-1.

"Paul was throwing strikes, locating well," said Tampon Bay manager Dan LaHousse.
