Cubs Zip Past Pussies, 7-0 | The Seattle Cubs picked up a win at Wrigley Field, knocking off the Tampon Bay Pussies, 7-0. Starting pitcher Mike O'Neill was a big reason why. Getting the save was Monty Montgomery, his 1st. The win puts Seattle at 2-2.
The Cubs got an important contribution from center fielder Ryan Thompson, who in the bottom of the first hit a fastball into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 2-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Thompson. "And not try to do too much." | | | | |
