Philadelphia center fielder Brandon Nimmo went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With this game in the books, Philadelphia is 34-45, New York 42-37.
The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Jack Hallett, Anthony Rizzo hit a walk-off 3-run home run. It gave Philadelphia the 8-6 win.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Nimmo, "but we got it done."
