| Stars Score Late, Upend Cubs, 6-5 | The Philadelphia Stars did just enough to secure a victory over the Seattle Cubs, 6-5, at Connie Mack Stadium. Nobody did more than center fielder Brandon Nimmo. Philadelphia currently is in 5th place in the PBL at 42-51.
Bedford, Texas-born Elmer Flick came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Stars trailing 5-3, he hit a bases-clearing double to right to put Philadelphia on top.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Flick.
