Lake Monsters Continue Skid Thanks to Hamilton, Pilgrims
The Boston Pilgrims topped the Cleveland Lake Monsters, 17-7, with left fielder Josh Hamilton playing a big role. Hamilton went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2 for the Pilgrims in the win. The Lake Monsters, at 43-65, have lost 4 straight games.

The Pilgrims got an important contribution from first baseman Wes Parker, who in the top of the seventh knocked a full count fastball into right-center for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Pilgrims ahead, 10-6.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Boston manager Mike Wallace.
