| Ambassadors Suffer 6-4 Loss to Philadelphia | With designated hitter Bob Aspromonte leading the charge, the Philadelphia Stars defeated the Pittsburgh Ambassadors, 6-4, at Connie Mack Stadium. Aspromonte went 1 for 2 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Diego Segui, now 7-5, was credited with the win. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 2. George Sharrott earned the save, his 4th in 4 tries.
Aspromonte had an important at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The Stars went on to win.
"Good win for our guys," said Aspromonte.
Philadelphia has now won 3 in a row.
