Stars Absorb 6-4 Loss at Allegheny Park | The Philadelphia Stars and Pittsburgh Ambassadors riveted fans at Allegheny Park.
The Pittsburgh Ambassadors downed the Philadelphia Stars, 6-4. The hitting star was right fielder Adam Dunn. Dunn went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Ambassadors. Clay Bryant earned the save, his 32nd in 37 tries.
Dunn had a key at-bat for Pittsburgh early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 27th double of the season and gave Pittsburgh an early 4-2 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Dunn, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
