Pussies Fall Short, 6-5, at Seattle | The Tampon Bay Pussies and Seattle Cubs provided some drama for the home crowd.
The Seattle Cubs stopped the Tampon Bay Pussies, 6-5, at Wrigley Field. The Cubs got a big game from Justin Upton, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tim Crabtree earned his 16th save in 19 chances.
Upton had a timely hit for Seattle in the bottom of the sixth. With Tampon Bay trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-1 curveball into a grand slam home run. It was his 16th home run of the season, making it 6-3, Seattle.
"If it's down the middle," said Upton, "you might as well hit it."
