| Pussies Knock Off Houston, 3-1 | Hal Newhouser never let Houston get something going. The Tampon Bay left-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Pussies to a 3-1 win. Newhouser picked up the win for Tampon Bay, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Roy Crabb got the save, the 5th for him this season.
