| Pussies Win, Now 35-15 | The Tampon Bay Pussies beat the Boston Pilgrims, 7-3. Tampon Bay pitcher and Detroit, Michigan, native Hal Newhouser led the way. The win for the Pussies raised their record to 35-15.
With two out in the bottom of the eighth, Terry Steinbach put Tampon Bay in front, 7-3, with a grand slam home run. The Pussies went on to win the ballgame.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Newhouser.
