New York Yankees starter Dutch E Leonard was in fine form against the Philadelphia Stars at Connie Mack Stadium, leading his team to a win, 6-3. The win for the Yankees raised their record to 43-37.
Wally Berger, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Berger contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put New York up, 3-0.
