Lake Monsters Double Up Stars, 4-2 | The Cleveland Lake Monsters topped the Philadelphia Stars, 4-2, in Phoenix Baseball League action at Cleveland Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and Factoryville, Pennsylvania, native Christy Mathewson. The Lake Monsters raised their record to 39-58.
Also making an impact was second baseman Ken Aspromonte, who drilled a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Lake Monsters. For the game, Aspromonte went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
