Good production from left fielder Bobby Veach helped the New York Yankees topple the Tampon Bay Pussies, 7-6. Veach slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Yankees. Jack Hallett got credit for the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. New York raised its record to 55-45 with the win.

Mark Reynolds, who finished 3rd in the PBL in home runs with 15 in 1990, aided the New York cause with a 2-run double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Veach told the New York Citizen.
