Hamilton goes 3-for-4, Pilgrims Move to 87-49
No one was more impactful than Josh Hamilton in the 8-7 Boston win over Philadelphia. Hamilton, who finished 5th in the PBL in home runs with 39 in 1996, went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win boosted Boston to 87-49.

Hamilton contributed in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Boston get the win.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hamilton told the Boston Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
