The Boston Pilgrims overcame a fine performance by Tampon Bay shortstop Trevor Story to defeat the Pussies, 4-3, at Fenway Park II. Story was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Al Orth, now 12-4, was credited with the win. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Boston raised its record to 99-56 with the win.

Del Gainer took Jim Bunning deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Pilgrims on top, 3-0. In all, Gainer had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
