| Cubs Win, 8-1, Over Philadelphia | Seattle third baseman Brett Lawrie played a vital role in his team's 8-1 triumph over Philadelphia. He was 2-3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Seattle. Mike O'Neill got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The Stars continue "in the red" at 7-12.
