| Happ Handcuffs Pussies, Pilgrims Seize 3-1 Advantage in PBL World Series | The Boston Pilgrims got a strong performance from pitcher J A Happ, who stymied the Tampon Bay offense en route to a 3-0 win in Game 4 of the PBL World Series today. The Pussies could never get a bead on the left-handed Happ, who threw 7 innings of shutout ball. The Pilgrims now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Happ gave Boston a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings.
Happ said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
The next game is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th, 1999. The scheduled starters for the game are Al Mamaux for the Boston Pilgrims and Hal Newhouser for the the Tampon Bay Pussies.
