Altuve Pops Two Homers in 5-4 Win for Cleveland | The Cleveland Lake Monsters relied on the hitting of second baseman Jose Altuve to stop the Philadelphia Stars, 5-4. For the game, Altuve went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Cleveland reliever Cal Koonce picked up the win, while Skip Pitlock took the loss for Philadelphia. Cleveland is now riding a 7-game win streak.
It could have been a different outcome for Cleveland, had it not been for Eddie Robinson, the 28-year old first baseman . Robinson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Cleveland up, 4-3.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Cleveland manager John Byedon. | | | | |
