| Stars Slip Past Cleveland, 3-2 | The Philadelphia Stars had to overcome a good performance from Cleveland pitcher Bob Muncrief to claim a 3-2 win at Connie Mack Stadium. Muncrief went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Today's win puts Philadelphia at 65-68, while Cleveland falls to 53-80.
The Stars procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Brandon Inge. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning 2-run home run.
"Glad to go home with a win," said Inge.
